Abstract:
In March and April 2017, investigations were carried out every 7 days on damaged shoots and degraded shoot at Phyllostachys edulis, P. praecox and P. prominens stands in Fuyang, Zhejiang province. Insects found were fed in lab. In 2017 and 2018, experiment was made on control of Melanotus cribricollis by Metarhizium pingshaensis. The results showed that there were four main soil insects, namely M. cribricollis, Bipectilus zhejiangensis, Odontotermes formosanus and Haptonchus sp., especially M. cribricollis, causing 37.78%-62.93% death of shoot. The experiment demonstrated that M. pingshaensis had significant control efficiency against M. cribricollis, the control effect was 80% after 2 years consecutive application.
