Abstract:
On October 19th 2021, Crateva magna, a new record species of Crateva L. from Capparaceae was found in Fuzhou, Fujian province. It is similar to C. unilocularis, but leaf of C. magna is ovate-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, with flower of yellowish-white after drying. The sepals were narrower than lanceolate, fruit oval to oblong-ovate, seeds flattened, and obvious tumor-like spines on the back. Microexamination was implemented on C. magna leaf leaves. Voucher specimens were conserved in Plant Herbarium of College of Life Sciences, Fujian Normal University ( FNU).
