Abstract: The relationships among Rubus yoshinoi Koidz, R. kulinganus Bailey and R. spananthus Z. M. Wu et Z. L. Cheng are studied, the idea that R. kulinganus is as a synonym of R. yoshinoi by N. Naruhashi is recognized in the study, still R. spananthus is treated as a new synonym of R. yoshinoi here. The main morphological characteristics of R. yoshinoi are provided for identification. Symphyotrichum divaricatum(Nutt.) G. L. Nesom, is reported as a newly naturalized plant in East China, and its morphological characteristics and main differences with similar species are described.
