Abstract:
Based on field surveys and literature review, the species composition, newly-recorded taxa, distribution pattern, diversity, floristic characteristics, life form, and conservation status of wild Orchidaceae plants in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province were systematically analyzed. The results showed that there were 58 species belonging to 29 genera of wild orchids in Jinhua City, indicating the rich species diversity. In terms of distribution pattern, Wuyi County had the highest number of species. Floristically, the orchid flora could be classified into nine types with tropical distribution types being predominant. The dominant life form was terrestrial orchids. There were 13 species listed as Class II state Key Protected Wild Plants(2021), 9 species as Key Protected Wild Plants of Zhejiang Province (2025). All species were included in the

Higher Plants Volume (2020), in which 14 species were endemic to China. This study provides a scientific basis for the conservation and sustainable utilization of wild orchids in Jinhua City. It is recommended to strengthen habitat protection, carry out public education, and further study the ecological adaptability and conservation strategies of wild Orchidaceae species.
