Abstract:
In order to clarify the species composition and faunal characteristics of sawflies (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinoidea) in Jiulong National Wetland Park in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, a systematic species investigation and faunal analysis were conducted. Specimens were collected using net-sweeping methods, and species identification was conducted using comparative morphology integrated with
COI gene fragment sequencing-based molecular identification. The results showed that: (1) A total of 58 species belonging to 3 families and 11 subfamilies were recorded in the research area, the dominant species of which were
Eutomostethus formosanus,
Tenthredo mortivaga, and
Spinarge Lishui, with relative abundances of 33.98%, 20.42%, and 17.47%, respectively. (2) Faunal analysis revealed that from the perspective of world geographical fauna, the sawflies in this area was dominated by East Asian species, accounting for 81 % of the total species, in which Chinese endemic species accounted for 72 %, indicating an obvious East Asian faunal affinity. From the perspective of China’s geographical fauna, seven insect regions are involved, with East China insect region showing the highest distribution frequency (58 times). From the perspective of Zhejiang Province’s geographical fauna, the bi-regional type “Tianmu Mountain sub-region + Southern Zhejiang Mountainous sub-region” was the dominant faunal type, accounting for 49.99 %. This study clarifies the species abundance patterns and unique faunal composition of sawflies in Jiulong National Wetland Park in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, providing fundamental scientific data for regional wetland ecosystem conservation, biodiversity maintenance and sawfly-related biological disaster prevention. Sawflies, as a basal phytophagous group of Hymenoptera, have caused increasingly severe damage to forests in recent years, with their harmfulness ranking second only to Lepidoptera, making them an important component of forest and wetland ecosystems.
