Flora of Vascular Plants in Wetland of Nanshui Lake in Guangdong

  • Investigations on vascular plants were carried out from 2014 to 2015 in wetland of Nanshui Lake of Gurangdong province by route andquadrat survey. The result demonstrated that there were 187 species of vascular plants, belonging to 122 genera and 67 families. Herbs andhygrophyte occupied the largest proportion of vascular plants. Gramineae, Cyperaceae and Polypodiaceae, etc. were dominant families, and Cyperus,Pteris and Polygonum, etc. were dominant genera. There were 6 geographical distribution patterns and 1 variant in typical families, tropical elementsaccounted for 83.33%. The geographical elements of surveyed vascular plants consisted of 13 distribution patterns and 7 variants, among them, tropical elements were dominant. Flora of Nanshui Lake showed significant tropical characteristic than that of wetland at higher and similar latitudeinland. The result of clustering analysis showed that the flora composition in wetland had relationship with geographic position and latitude.
