Net Productivity of Cunninghamia lanceolata and Michelia maudiae in Mixed and Pure Stand

  • Determinations were conducted on biomass, net productivity and litter of 14-year Cunninghamia lanceolata and Michelia maudiae inmixed stand and their pure stand in 2015 by stem analysis and sample plot survey. The results demonstrated that biomass at tree layer of pure M.maudiae stand was higher than that of mixed stand and pure C. lanceolata stand, and single trunk biomass of two species in mixed stand was higherthan that in their pure stand. Net productivity at tree layer was ordered by pure M. maudiae stand>mixed stand>pure C. lanceolata stand, and theannual amount of litterfall was mixed stand>M. maudiae stand> pure C. lanceolata stand. It concluded that mixed stand had advantages of morephotosynthetic product, better soil nutrient circling.
