Experiment on Microprapagation of Styrax confuses

  • Experiments were conducted on tissue culture of Styrax confuses by stem with bud as explants. The results showed that MS supplementedwith 1 mg/L of BA had the best effect for bud multiplication, with the highest proliferation coefficient of 4.00, and the bud cluster grew well. The bestmedium for rooting was 1/2 MS supplemented with 1 mg/L of IBA, with rooting rate up to 40%, and the roots were long and strong. Plantlets weretransplanted in medium of peat, vermiculite and perlite with a ratio at 1:1:1. Survival rate was 58% after 4 weeks.
