Abstract
Pollens of Camellia chuangtsoensis were collected in July 2015, and stored under 25℃, 4℃ and -80℃. Germination conditions for fresh C. chuangtsoensis pollen were tested by fluid medium in vitro. Experiments were conducted on germination rate of pollens stored under different temperature and duration. The result demonstrated that the best medium for fresh pollen germination 12% sucrose + 0.12% H3BO3. Germination rate of pollens stored at -20℃ 5 months later was 25% of that of the fresh ones, and that stored at -80℃ 5 months later was 32%.
