Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Biomass of Green Space in the City Proper of Wenzhou

  • Investigations were carried out in 2015 on biomass of green space in the city proper of Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. Based on the Landsat OLI images and field survey data, model for biomass of green space in Wenzhou was established with remote sensing variables. The spatiotemporal dynamics of biomass of green space from 2005 to 2010 in Wenzhou was calculated based on corresponding Landsat images. The results showed that the total biomass of green space at built-up areas of Wenzhou increased evidently with expansion of the city proper, from 223 783.80 t in 2005 to 405 191.09 t in 2015, and the average biomass density from 12.36 t/ha to 15.96 t/ha, especiallt from 2010 to 2015.
