Abstract
Fruits of Amygdalus persica‘Hujingmilu’ were harvested in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province in July 2013. Experiments were conducted on effect of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatment combined with polyethylene film packaging (MAP) on quality and energy metabolism of cold stored and shelf life fruits. The result demonstrated that fruits pretreated with 1 μL/L of 1-MCP for 12 h and packaged with 0.02 mm polyethylene film at 85%-90% relative humidity had lower decay index, better firmness, more content of total soluble solids (TSS) and vitamin C (Vc), better activities of succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) and cytochrome C oxidase (CCO), more content of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine monophosphate (AMP) and energy charge (EC) level than that of the control(no 1-MCP treatment but packaged with 0.02 mm polyethylene film). The experiments resulted that 1-MCP treatment combined with MAP was effective in reducing decay, delaying afterripening of fruit.
