Effect of Plant Growth Regulators on Cutting Rooting of Machilus breviflora

Orthogonal experiments were conducted on effect of treatments by ABT, NAA and “gentaiyang”, with their different concentrations（200,500, 800 mg·L-1） and time（10, 20 and 30 minutes）on cutting rooting of Machilus breviflora. The results showed that every treatment had significanteffect on rooting. The order of effect was growth regulator > concentration > time. The index with higher weight were average root length and rootingrate, which could be used for evaluation of the cutting of M. breviflora. The experiment demonstrated that it had the best effect (rooting rate of49.89%) with substrate of yellow soil + sand + perlite (1:1:1, volume ratio), half-lignified current branch treated in ABT solution with 800 mg·L-1 for30 minutes.
