Effect of Phosphorus Fertilization on the Growth of Osmanthus fragrans Seedling

The growth of One year-old seedlings of Osmanthus fragrans was affected by seven levels of phosphorus fertilizer treatment. Results ofthe research indicated that:(1) the growth and physiological indexes were closely related to the application amount of phosphorus fertilizer.（2）Theamount of phosphorus was gradually increased among the range of 0-0.375g/ pot, with which the seedling height, the ground diameter, the leaf area,the biomass and the chlorophyll of seedlings were increased accordingly, when the amount of phosphorus used exceeded the 0.375g/ pot, theindicators aboved tended to fall. According to the twice functional relationship between indicators researched and the application quantity，theappropriate amount of phosphorus fertilizer was 0. 28-0. 46g /pot for one year-old Osmanthus fragrans seedling．
