Application of Adsorption Heat in Rapid Evaluation of Adsorption Properties of Bamboo Charcoal

  • Adsorption heat of bamboo charcoal was measured with 11 reagents. The result showed that the five top reagents were 2,2,4-trimethyl pentane, ethylene glycol dibutyl ether, ethanol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol. Comparison on safety and cost, methanol and ethanol were selected for bamboo charcoal adsorption properties. The experiment demonstrated that ethanol was the best. Polynomial regression equation of bamboo charcoal adsorption property and adsorption heat values was Y=-5??10-6X2+0.015 2X+26.672, with correlation coefficient of 0.994 7. The equation of linear equation on environment temperature and adsorption heat of bamboo charcoal treated with ethanol was Y=0.708 9X+15.408, with correlation coefficient of 0.989 2. The experiment concluded that the adsorption of bamboo charcoal could be rapidly evaluated by the adsorption heat of bamboo charcoal treated by ethanol.
