Effect of Grafting in Top Time of Acer negundo‘Aurea’on Survival Rate and Growth of New Shoot

Abstract
Experiments of grafting in top (2.5 meter) of Acer negundo were conducted each ten days from June to September of 2016 using twigs of A.negundo‘Aurea’ as scions in Shijiazhuang of Hebei province.The results showed that the survival rate of tow working reached 100%in June 15, June 25 and August 14.Investigations on new shoot growth of grafted scions demonstrated that grafting in June had better survival rate, but lower growth and new shoots.The experiment resulted that the best grafting period was during August 5 to 25, withthe average survival rate of 96.67% and mean daily growth of new shoot of 2.42 cm.
