Abstract
Callicarpa L., belonging to Verbenaceae, distributes in tropical and subtropical regions, and China is rich in species diversity. Two new combinations of Callicarpa, C. subglabra(C. P'ei) L.X. Ye et B.Y. Ding and C. rubella var.crenata (C. P’ei) L.X. Ye et B.Y. Ding, are reported. Callicarpasubglabra differs from C. rubella in having plant glabrous with the exception of sparsely pubescent tent shoots, lamina paperous, obovate-oblong or narrowly elliptic, attenuate at middle, base rounded or slightly cordate, not auriculate, margin serrate, petioles 4- 6 mm long. Callicarpa rubella var. crenata differs from C. rubella in having plant densely multicellular-glandular and multicellular-pilose, lamina paperous, obovate-lanceolate or oblanceolate, attenuate at middle, base cordate and auriculate, margin thinly obtuse-serrate.
