Morphological and Biological Characteristics of Mansoniella cinnamomi in Tunxi of Huangshan

  • Field investigation and observation was carried out on Mansoniella cinnamomi during June of 2014 and May of 2015 in Tunxi of Huangshan, Anhui province. The results showed that M. cinnamomi had 4 - 5 generations a year in Tunxi, and the peak period of damage was August and September. It overwintered with eggs in leaf stalk, vein and tender shoot cortex. Its adults and nymphs damaged Cinnamomum camphora by sucking in the back of leaves, causing defoliation and growth of camphor.
