Effect of Different Hormones with Different Concentration on Rooting of Sapindus mukorossi Softwood Cuttings

  • Current year softwoods were collected from 3-year of Sapindus mukorossi for seedling cultivation by cutting in June, 2017.They were treated by NAA, IAA and GGR6 with different concentrations.Rooting process was observed every 5 days after cutting, and in November, 2017, survival rate of cuttings was calculated.Determinations were implemented on biomass of seedling, root system traits and nutrient content.The result demonstrated that rooting of cuttings was intermediate type.Cuttings treated by 100 mg/L of NAA had the best effect of survival rate of 46.96%, total root length of 15.65 m, root surface area of 170.25 cm2 and root volume of 2.19 cm3.Cutting treated by any hormones of 500 mg/L had root growth inhibited, such as decreased root surface area and root volume.The experiment resulted that current year softwood cuttings treated by100 mg/L of NAA for 1 hour had the best effect.
