Analysis on Habitat Selection of Egretta garzetta in Qingshan Lake Scenic Area

  • Investigations were carried out on ecological factor of habitats for Egretta garzetta by line transect and quadrat sampling duringJune of 2018 and May 2019 in Qingshan Lake Scenic Area in Zhejiang province. The results showed that the variables of water depth (t=-4.607, P=0.000) and distance from artificial disturbance (t=4.261, P=0.000) were significantly different betweensample plotand the control. And that of vegetation coverage (t=-2.474, P=0.017) was significantly different, while the distance from E. garzetta to the closest vegetation (t=-2.308, P=0.300) was not. The investigation concluded that foraging area of E. garzettawas with water depth ofmore than 0-30cm, distance of more than 50m from artificial disturbance and vegetation coverage of0-25%.
