Vascular Plant Diversity and Flora Analysis of Xixi National Wetland Park

  • Background survey was implemented in 2003 in Xixi National Wetland Park of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. During 2010 and 2018, field investigations on wild vascular plants, rare and endangered plant and alien invasive plants had been carried out in 4 seasons each year. The result demonstrated that there were 424 species, belonging to 94 families and 270 genera of wild vascular plant in the park, among them, 4 species were under national second-class protection, namely Fagopyrum dibotrys, Cinnamomum camphora, Glycine soj and Trapa incise. There were alien invasive plants of 28 species, belonging to 13 families 22 genera. 92 species of woody plant occupied 21.7% of the total one in the park, and 332 species of herb took 78.3 of the total one. Flora analysis indicated that there had no significant difference between temporary and tropical component of typical families and genera, indicating transitional characteristic. The analysis resulted that the flora was complex and old, having a close relationship with Japanese flora. One Chinese endemic genus of Omphalotrigonotis, was recorded.
