Study on the Preferences of Tree Form, Color, and Vegetation Types

In August and September 2019, on-line questionnaire survey was carried out on preference of plant morphology, color and vegetation type. Analysis of 316 effective questionnaires indicated that people prefer plants with short trunk, dense canopy and abundant branches, with red and emerald green color. Temperate grassland vegetation was preferred type. Suggestions were put forward such as selecting plants with short trunk, dense canopy, more branches, with red or emerald green color in the key landscape areas, and applying large area of lawn with low vegetation and broad vision.
