Effect of Different Treatment on Rooting of CaesalpiniavernalisCuttings

  • By the end of September 2018, half year softwood were harvested from 3-year Caesalpiniavernalis, and 1-year branches were cut in the early March of 2019.Orthogonalexperiments were conducted on those cuttings with different substrate type, different cutting length anddifferent ABT1 concentration.90 days later, investigations on rooting of different treated cuttingsshowed that 1-year lignified branch had better rooting effect for cutting in the spring.Different concentration of ABT1 and cuttinglength had no evident effect on rooting of cuttings. But different substrates had great effect on rooting rate and length ofadventitious root (P<0.05).The experiments demonstrated that 1-year lignified cuttings with length of >10-15 cm, soaked in 100mg?kg-1of ABT1 for 1 hour, in river sand in the spring had the best rooting rate of 71.85%.
