Current Situation and Countermeasures on Research and Development of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum

Tetrastigma hemsleyanum is a medicinal plant with root tubers and leaves for anti-tumor, clearing heat and anti-virus. Reviews were madeon researches in terms of medicinal value, cultivation, tissue culture and industry development of `T. hemsleyanum during 2009-2019. Challengeswere presented such as more products, rare wild resources, no standard for cultivation and product, low awareness of the product and low price of rawmaterial. Countermeasures were put forwarded for better development like strengthening researches, conserving wild resources and furtherdevelopment of cultivation, creating brand effect.
