Prediction of Distribution of Alcimandra cathcartii in Yunnan Province based on Maximum Entropy Modeling

  • 51 geographic distribution data of Alcimandra cathcardii in Yunnan province and 37 climatic and geographical environmental factors were collected from different databases. The potential distribution areal of A. cathcardii in Yunnan was predicted by MaxEnt modeling. The results showed that area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve was 0.946. Jackknife test showed that the most important environmental factors affecting A. cathcardii were mean precipitation in July (400 mm), monthly mean diurnal temperature difference (8°C), range of average annual temperature change (18°C), winter precipitation (120 mm), average annual precipitation (2 000 mm). There are 1 233.68 km2 of the most suitable areal in Yunnan for growth of A. cathcardii, such as Maguan County, Pingbian Miao Autonomous County, Xichou County, Tengchong County, Gongshan Dulong and Nu Autonomous County, etc.
