Countermeasures for Flower and Seedling Industry under Returning Nursery to Farmland

The flower and seedling industry in Hangzhou, ,with obvious first mover advantage, was developed in the 1990s . It is one of the important flower and seedling producing areas in China.This paper analyzes the main problem of flower and seedling industry in Hangzhou, is the serious homogenization, which leads to the structural surplus of varieties;Weak breeding foundation, which leads to the lack of characteristic products and high-quality products;The problem of land competition with grain is prominent;The emotional reaction of the people who planting seedling to cleaning up and retreating was confused.By the end 2020, nurseries were demanded to be transformed to farmland. Countermeasures were put forwarded for further development of flower and seedling industry in Hangzhou, such as focusing on better utilization of land, “beautiful economic industry”, strengthening breeding, etc.
