Investigation on Butterfly Diversity and Dynamic Changes in Zhejiang Wuyanling National Nature Reserve

From April to September 2018, investigations were made on butterfly by line transect in Wuyanling National Nature Reserve and surrounding areas in Taishun county of Zhejiang province. The results showed that there were a total of 160 species of butterflies observed, belonging to 11 families and 89 genera. The dominant families were Papilionidae (20 species), Satyridae (25 species), Nymphalidae (46 species), Hesperiidae (36 species). Telicota besta and Pedesta luanchuanensis were new records in the province. The number of butterfly species increased to the peak in July and to the least in April. The Simpson dominance index, Shannon-Wiener diversity index and Pielou evenness index of butterfly community in this area was normally stable in different months, with April the lowest and August the highest.
