Abstract
Study was made on erecting of boundary markers around Xijiang Lankeshan Provincial Nature Reserve, Guangdong province. Suitability evaluation system was established for erecting boundary markers with factors of land use, land property, forest type, elevation, slope and road. Analysis was carried out on suitability of spatial distribution of boundary markers by multi-factor analytic hierarchy process. The results showed that the suitable area for erecting distributed in the north and south of the Reserve, relative suitable area distributed in the middle and east, and unsuitable area distributed in the west and northeast of the Reserve. The study concluded that the suitability of boundary markers at different scales could be divided into suitable, relative suitable and unsuitable.
