Composition and Diversity of Insect in Wangdongyang Alpine Wetland Nature Reserve and Dayanghu Wetlands Nature Reserve

  • During August 2017 to July 2019, investigation of insect resources was conducted by different methods in Jingning Wangdongyang Alpine Wetland Nature Reserve and Dayanghu Provincial Wetlands Nature Reserve, Zhejiang province. The result demonstrated that there were 2195 species belonging to 1385 genera, 243 families and 23 orders. The dominant orders Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hemiptera and Diptera, were accounted for 44.51%, 13.49%, 12.26% and 8.7% of the total species in nature reserves. The natural enemy insect, medicinal insect, edible insect and ornamental insect had 556 species of 113 families, accounting for 25.3% of the total species. The genera abundance of dominant families and genera were analysed, which suggested stable insect communities in this area. At the same time, community structures were expressed by Shannon-Wiener Index, Simpson Dominance Index, Margalef Species Richness Index and Pielou Evenness Index . The results revealed that Wangdongyang Nature Reserve and Dayanghu Nature Reserve have high insect diversity indices and stable community.
