Construction of Wetland Resource “One Map” in Wenling City

  • The promulgation and implementation of the Wetland Conservation Law of the People’s Republic of China ushers in a new period of wetland protection and management. However, the resulting data of the third national land survey hasn’t been in accordance with the new situation and requirement of wetland protection and management, and the accurate and elaborate current situation and data lay an important foundation for understanding the true situation of wetland resource, and are also importantly supportive for effective wetland protection and management. The wetland resource management “One Map” including wetland classification, the attribute factors, and construction steps is outlined in this study, specifically speaking, the wetland resource “One Map” in Wenling City was constructed on the basis of the 2022 land resources survey data of Wenling City, integrating the vector data of the second wetland resource survey abiding by the negative 6 m isobath, through remote sensing interpretation and field investigation, after which the application direction of the wetland resource “One Map” is discussed, which is composed of the total area control of wetland, the improvement of the wetland classification management system, the scientific restoration of wetland, and the improvement of the wetland protection pattern.
