Abstract
On the basis of previous researches, well-established evaluation methods and parameter data were selected, combining with technical models for forest ecological restoration, to conduct a quantitative analysis of the forest ecosystem service value of Thousand Island Lake forest ecological restoration project. The aim of this study is to accurately assess benefits of this project, and provide a reference for formulating optimal restoration plans on ecosystem service value. Results demonstrated that the total annual value of forest ecological service function in the implementation area increased from 1.053 billion CNY·a−1 to 1.794 billion CNY·a−1. Restoration measures including structural modification of Pinus massoniana pure stands and the introduction and replantation of broad-leaved tree species significantly improved restoration capacity, enhanced multiple ecological functions, such as water conservation, water storage and water purification.
