Research Progress on Genetic Resource Diversity and Reproduction of Paris L.

Paris L. that are rare in China are increasingly valued for their utilization value with a growing demand, however, the contradiction between the increasing use of Paris L. and the characteristics of long growth cycle, low natural reproduction rate leads to the endangerment of the wild resource depletion. The resource classification and distribution of Paris L. plants were presented, the genetic resource diversity were described and evaluated in terms of morphological markers, cytological markers, biochemical markers and molecular markers. The current status of Paris L.seedling multiplication, including seed propagation, stem segment propagation and tissue culture, etc. were still explored,with a view to providing references to the development and protection of the genetic resource of Paris L. plants in China.
