Experiment on Interplanting Tetrastigma hemsleyanum under Phyllostachys heterocycla cv. pubescens Stand

  • Experiments were implemented in 2014 on interplanting 1-year Tetrastigma hemsleyanum cuttings under Phyllostachys heterocycla cv.pubescens stand with different planting patterns, different bamboo canopy density and different substrate in Huzhou, Zhejiang province. The results showed that fast growth of T. hemsleyanum was from May to July and October to November. Container seedlings were better for interplanting under stands with canopy density of 0.6-0.8, and the desirable culture substrates were humus soil or loam.
