Abstract
Experiment was conducted on 1-year seedling growth and photosynthetic properties of Nerium indicum under 0, 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.9%NaCl stress. The results showed that chlorophyll content (Chl), net photosynthetic rate (Pn), PSⅡ maximal photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fm) and PSⅡ potential photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fo)decreased along with the increased of NaCl concentration during the initial period of the experiment. But with the duration of the experiment, determined index of different treated seedlings were close to that of the control, seedlings treated with 0.3%NaCl had even higher index than that of the control and treated with 0.6% and 0.9% NaCl. The result indicated that N. indicum had strong adaptabilityand tolerance to lower NaCl stress and even had better growth and photosynthetic properties.
