  • In 2007, direct sowing of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa seed was carried out at a production base in Keping, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Seedlings were grafted with Z. jujuba cv. Junzao the next year and established the orchard with density of 10500 trees/ha. Experiment on new pruning technique was implemented with old pruning one as the control, and same fertilization, watering and pest control from 2013. The result demonstrated that jujube treated with new technique could fruit earlier with larger fruit, but with more labor charges. It needs further researches. Key words: Ziziphus jujuba cv.
